Nazi Swastika
Das Hakenkreuz - sein Sinn und seine Bedeutung
Nazi swastika book
Hakenkreuz
The fact that the Nazi Party published this book as soon as possible after they took power in Germany leaves no doubt that it is the version of the swastika story that they wanted to see in print.

The 5-7/8 x 8-3/4 inch, 40 page illustrated book begins by defining the swastika and explaining in a somewhat technical way how the design is constructed from two identical zig-zag elements.
This is a very good example of the very rare Nazi book Das Hakenkreuz - sein Sinn und seine Bedeutung (The Swastika - its Origins and its Significance) by Friedrich Rausch of Nordhausen as published by the Central Publishing House of the NSDAP, Franz Eher Nachfolger in München (Munich), Germany in 1933.
The book then explains the new swastika and how it became the symbol of the National Socialist Movement.

Another section explains the origins of the swastika, and yet another the historic significance of the design showing different applications of it. There is even a text of a play or skit that might be performed to acquaint German citizens with the background of the new emblem.

Very scarce and in very good condition.
